BIOGRAPHY AND CAREER HIGHLIGHTS OF CRYSTAL TAYLOR
- Born December 23, 1957.
- Crystal has been singing on stage since age 11
- At age 15, Crystal learned to play guitar and played in a trio for 3 years.
- At age 17 and 18, Crystal sang alto in a 7 member Southern Gospel Group in Nova Scotia
- Sang in the Calgary Stampede parade (80,000 people plus TV in 1987)
- Played guitar and sang in Country Gospel Jamborees in Alberta for the past 18 years.
- In October of 1988, under the direction of Barton Wallace (a professional singer and a vocal instructor for ten years), Crystal started taking voice lessons at Mount Royal Conservatory of Music.
- She started writing songs in 1988 and since then has written and recorded 75 of them.
- Performed for the Swiss Olympic Delegates Dinner (800 people) during the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics.
- In 1991 Crystal sang at the Cedar Villa Nursing Home in Calgary once a month.
- Sang and played at the Mustard Seed ( a Coffee House for street people in downtown Calgary)
- Crystal has had the privilege of singing and playing at both her sons' schools in Calgary and Red Deer, Alberta.
- She has performed on the Petro-Canada Stage at Heritage Park in Calgary a number of times.
- Crystal has sung for the Christian Cowboys, The Christian Truckers, and the Christian Bikers, all in Calgary.
- She played and sang at two concerts at the Country Music Association of Calgary.
- She sang regularly at the Ranchman's Cowboy Church from 1988-1991 and has sung regularly at the other Cowboy Churches throughout Alberta from 1993 to present. She has also sung at Cowboy Church's in Nashville, Montana, Texas, New Mexico, and many other places.
- Crystal performed for the Bower Ponds seven Sundays in the Park in Red Deer, Alberta (television and radio coverage).
- Crystal's 12 albulms were recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, at Gene Breeden's Studio.
- Crystal had the privilege of singing on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee, for the Grand Ole Gospel Hour in October of 1993.
- Winner of CGMA songwriter of the year NW region in 2000.
- She appeared on "It's a New Day" - a daily Christian television program out of Winnipeg, many times which is shown across Canada (interview as well as special music - her music was also recorded for future programming).

- Crystal has sung with Joanne (Cash) Yates, George Hamilton IV, Susie (McEntire) Luchsinger, Jack Jackson, Abe Zacharias, Dick Dameron, Harry Rusk, Ken Holoway, Mid South, Brian Barrett, Stan and Erron, Double Portion, Potter's Clay, Nitchy Creek, Larry Ford (from the Gather Videos), Mike Manuel and more.
- Since October 1994, Crystal has ministered in song extensively throughout Canada and parts of the United States in full-time ministry. This includes: hospitals, nursing homes, jamborees, rodeos, weddings, funeral, churches of many denominations, parades, fairs, street corners, parks, restaurants, Wal Marts, flea-markets, Kiwanis Club, radio, satellite radio, TV, Olympics, fund raisers, Cowboy Church, Grand Ole Opry, bible schools, public schools, malls during the Calgary Stampede, conventions, barbecues, private parties, Women's Aglow, Full Gospel Businessmen, clubs, organizations, and more all for the glory of God.
